Graham’s November Newsletter

On 8 November it was another Training Day consisting of a run session & a swim session. Another good, productive day (please don’t stand on the horse).

Monster Weekend –
On 14 November I did the Hill-a-Saurus MTB in Swanage. There was 1725ft of climbing over 22 miles (a bit short as it was sold as being a 25 mile course, but they said they’ll tweak this new course for next year). It was very muddy & web as well as blowing a hoolie.

Then on 15 November I headed off to Bovington Tank Museum to do the Bitter Beast Road Sportive This was a 70 miles of horrendously wet & windy conditions with 4000ft of climbing across the Purbecks with the last 10 miles putting me into places I haven’t been to for a very long time on my bike.

Now Back to Normal Weekends
On 21 November I drooled over lots of new potential toys & bikes at the Primera Bike Show at the BIC but managed to come away with nothing but a memory of what could have been!!!

On 29 November I did the MTB Enduro Event at Avon Tyrell which consisted of a 2hr race, 9 laps, around the Avon Tyrell estate which eventually turned into a 2hr 10mins race. It was hard work but great fun. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
