What a season.

That time of year when we look back & reflect on the achievements of the people that we are supporting. Certainly been a season of challenges & celebrations, with athletes dealing with personal & athletic lows & highs.

Grateful that all seem to be either healthy or on track to get healthy, which also makes for happier people.

From the athlete perspective athletes have over 30 events including long distance charity bike rides, marathons, duathlons, triathlons, National Inter-Regional Championships, National Super Series, European & World races.

In training the athletes have applied themselves to become more effective & efficient and have applied their processes to nail improvements in their training & racing. Athletes have already qualified for 2024 European & World Championships and across the team there have been over 20 Top 10 finishes including 12 podiums.

Coaches also had some changes, challenges & celebrations. With Scott stepping back from the Academy lead coach role, it brought to an end 17 years of working within a performance setting. As complete change of role, he took up a position working as a Personal Trainer in a local gym. He was privileged to head to Pula to support a World & European Triathlon Coach Education Course.

Di started a role with GB Pentathlon, leading their welfare & safeguarding programme and within weeks was leading & coordinating the safeguarding response, for all Nations, at the World Championships. She also headed out to provide on site support at the Championships in Bali.

As we reflect on the 2023 season, we can already see how exciting 2024 will be.
