This was Alex’s first race of the season, with the objective of blowing the cobwebs off and having a play.

It was a mixed gender & age group in water mass start, so difficult to pick out where Alex given the combined Age Groups.

Di got Alex swim time as she left the lake, as it was along run up to transition, from the official results Alex had the fastest  swim and T1 times in her AG.

Out onto the bike and Alex continued to put together a solid race, executing her processes and setting the fastest bike split in her AG. (The image isn’t Alex but proves that the coaches were on site & taking an interest!)

The run was an out & back course and with so many races taking place on the same course it was difficult to work out where your competitors may be. Alex had a strong run, posting the second fastest run in her AG and ending up 3rd in the combined AG and 1st in her own AG.

Not a bad way to blow the cobwebs off!
