Athletes Assemble!

Been a busy couple of months for the Synergie Coaching supported athletes already. Getting around to catching up with where they have been and where you will see them in the coming months.

April’s Outings

Ann started of at a local aquathlon, looking to hone some transition practice. She won both her age group & was 1st female overall winning a chocolate Bunny!

Johnny was up at the British Triathlon Super Series qualifier. This is the qualification event to get a start at the National Elite Series, so racing against funded & full time athletes, most of whom have come through the Academy and/or Performance Centre Pathways. Great exposue to what good likes like at this level of racing.

Leo was up at the British Triathlon Youth & Junior Super Series Performance Assessments. This is the qualification race where athletes look to get a National Ranking in order to be invited into the National Series. It’s a novel weekend with the swim on one day & the bike to run the next.

Livvy, as you know from the last post, started her race season at the Oldbury Triathlon, part of the South Central Regional Series. Livvy had a great race finishing 4th in her age group, so a great start to her Regional Series racing. Leo also raced well at this, finishing 2nd in his sports class.

Mark was out at the London Marathon, running with Emma who was completing her 100th marathon. Both soaked up the atmosphere & enjoyed the day and the post-event celebrations.

May’s Days

Alex opened her season at a Bustinskin race, taking 3rd place in her age group, so a pretty solid start to the season.

Ann was out at the 2024 World Sprint Championships qualifier in Southport, where she finished 6th in her age group, so a wait to see if a roll down slot gets offered for Malaga.

Johnny was also chasing qualification, although he was looking at the 2024 European Sprint Championships, so was at the draft legal event at Eton Dorney. Similar to Ann, he is waiting to see what happens with roll down slots.

Sophia kicked of her season with a podium at the Dorney Lakes Sprint Triathlon, before getting back on her bike a few days later to complete the Saints Foundation three day charity bike ride from Liverpool to Southampton, the team raising £40k for charity.
