Happy New Year to all.

2014 is looking like it’s going to be an exciting time already with some great challenges & opportunities for athletes & coaches alike.

As well as the usual coaching days here is some of the stuff we will be up to and some of the events you can find us at in the first quarter.

In January Di starts her British Triathlon Level 3 coaching award, this is the highest coaching qualification that BTF currently award. There will be only one L3 course run in 2014, so Di is one of a select few getting this opportunity.

On 19th Jan Dan heads to the Eton Dorney Duathlon to blow the winter webs away and have a test event in his build up to the National Paraduathlon Champs.

In February Scott  is one of only seven coaches that have been selected to undertake the inaugural British Triathlon Kaizen programme. An 18 month mentored programme to develop coaches and improve their performance.

Tim is heading off for a training block in Lanzarote, so at least one of the athletes will have a good tan for the start of the season.

On 9th March Lou is going to be heading out over the 20 miles of beach, bog, climbs & mud that make up The Grizzly.  On the same day the coaches will be supporting the athletes from Clayesmore School who will be racing their first triathlon at the Mad March Triathlon.

On 22nd March Ben gets a chance to play, having a blast at the Mumbles Duathlon, the following week Dan gets his first proper test of the season at the National Paraduathlon Championships in Corby.

No doubt Graham, Mark & Matt will be up to stuff as well but we are still waiting on their details.
